Great shirt are they coming back?

Anthony Procopi

We have had a lot of really good customer feedback on our Traveller shirt range so we are currently reviewing the possibility of re-introducing it later in the year, perhaps in a slightly different fit and fabric.  We will be announcing any new product launches via this community site and explaining more about them, so keep an eye out to see what's new.

I'd like to see the Travellers come back in a slim-fit style.  I never understood why a shirt couldn't be both.
PLEASE BRING THEM BACK. mine are now embarassingly worn at the cuff, and you're condemning me to 10 minutes extra ironing a shirt and hopeless creasing when I travel on a cramped plane - i will curse every time i iron.
At what point do in the year do you think the traveller shirts will be back? - have one traveller shirt and could do with getting some more!
Hi Will, Unfortunately the traveller shirt won't be coming back this year. We will be releasing some similar styles in our Autumn/Winter 2010 collection, which we hope will appeal to fans of the traveller, and one day the traveller shirt might come back!
Dear Dan, I have a great problem. Soon I will have to open my last traveller shirts package - I bought all I could get hold on, both in Jeremyn St and in the web-shop. However my stable of traveller shirts will soon start to be worn out and I need to replace them soon. Especially my favourites; pink/sky checked and Edinburgh sky are ending their lifetime. Soon I only can wear them for shooting and hunting. Great pity! Why traveller? Because my laundry cant iron the collars of your other lines. Always gets wrinkles on the collar wings. Doesn't help to change laundry shop. Traveller shirts I'm able to handle myself. Wash and hang. Perfect to wear next day. And of course excellent companions at my frequent travels. Please reconsider. You had the best non-iron quality on the market. I know because I've spent a lot of money to find out that no one can produce non-iron shirts as good as your traveller line. regards, /Mats PS They would look even better in Windsor collar.
If the traveller is not coming back, what fabric do you offer with the same feel and ease of ironing together with minimal creasing whilst wearing?
If it ain't broke - don't fix it!  The Traveller worked just fine.  It did what it said on the tin and did it with style.  Please bring it back as it was.

Disappointed to hear the traveller will not be coming back in 2010! It was a great easy car shirt of good quality and provided a good reason for me to buy from TML.

Mention (above) was made of other similar shirts arriving in A/W2010, will you be communicating to us which shirts we are to look out for?

Right now I am left having to shop elsewhere for a similar shirt and it's a shame you could not have made suggestions of others styles that you think come close.

Hi Jeremy,

We will definitely let you know all about the new shirts.

Thanks,
Dan

I'm a french customer for years, and a great fan of your traveller shirts. Even I own a lot of your other shirts, I wear only the travellers now, for their quality and easy of care.

It's a pity your Traveller shirts are no more for sale. I hope you will sell them again soon....

Best regards

Hi

Like my friends here, I think the traveller shirt was excellent.

All my cuffs are frayed while I await its reintroduction.  Please bring it back!

Thanks

Is there an update to this thread? Seems strange PR to talk of the 'really good customer feedback on the traveller', raise hopes it may be reintroduced and then dash them. Is there now a similar shirt? I could use another ten...

Hello Anthony,

We have introduced a new line called of Non Iron shirts which you may find suitable. Like the Traveller they are easy to maintain and require little effort with an iron!

Our blog can tell you all the features and more about the style of these new shirts here:

There were two ranges of traveller shirts, the first one I bought requiring cufflinks "The Traveller" Finest Two Fold Cotton was brilliant.  Really silky texture and great feel.  The second Traveller I purchased 2 years later had buttoned cuffs and were of inferior quality.  My original shirt must be 4 or 5 years old and still looks better than the more recent traveller.  What was the difference between the two batches.  Were they made in different countries or were different cotton's used?

Hi Russ,

Thanks for your comment. It would be hugely beneficial to us if you could explain further how the older shirt looks in comparison to your new shirt. The process for the two shirts remains unchanged, so we’re very keen to discover how this has occurred. Would you be able to send us the code from each shirt particularly the newest one - it can be found on the inside on the front of the shirt under the car label? Alternatively, you can send a photo of the shirts to us; our email address is: social.media@tmlewin.co.uk

Regards,
Anthony
