How can you avoid the points of the collar turning under ?
Lots of people experience problems with their collars curling. The first thing to do is invest in a quality shirt. Our shirts have non-fused collars, and although they take a lot of care and attention, the benefits are unquestionable – they are more comfortable and softer to wear and they have a fuller, more tailored shape that lasts for longer.
Also, remember to remove your collar bones from your shirt before you put it in the washing machine, as these can also curl - altering the shape of your collar. Some people actually prefer to buy silver or enamel collar bones, strengthening the collar.
You also need to look at how your iron your shirts. Lay the collar flat and give it a quick steam to bring out the fibres, then evenly iron pressing doing with the back of the iron. Also, stretching the outside edge of the collar from the collar points after steaming (thumb and forefinger on the collar points) will definitely help (see also the demo on the video).
