For the final instalment of our How to Fold a Pocket Handkerchief series, we’re focussing on the Wrap - an easy-to-achieve and versatile style, equally suited to the office or a social occasion.
To create the Wrap you can use either a silk or a cotton handkerchief, plain or patterned, depending on your combination of shirt, suit and tie. The Wrap is also the simplest fold of any of the pocket handkerchiefs, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be done wrong, watch our video to find out how to do it the right way!
The Wrap:
- Select a cotton or silk handkerchief.
- Fold it into a square, one quarter of its original size.
- Fold the square in half, to create a triangle.
- Take the two points furthest apart and bring over the centre, overlapping each other to create the wrap shape.
- Fold the sides in to ensure it slides into your pocket.
- Tuck into your pocket, adjust as necessary.
