Last week we spent the day measuring up the Queens Park Rangers first team for their new T.M.Lewin suits!

Our day started early as we had to dress the team at the training ground and fit all our measuring around their busy schedules. To kick off the fittings we took the measurements of the staff and management team, including Mark Hughes the first team manager and Mark Bowen the assistant manager. We then spent the afternoon fitting each of the players, including Joey Barton and Shaun Wright-Phillips.

To establish the correct suit size we had to measure the chest size, their jacket sleeve length, and collar size so we have a clear idea of the exact shirt size and suit jacket that is required by each team member of QPR.  Typically, once you’ve measured your jacket size your waist measurements will work on a 6 inch drop, so if your chest size is 38 inches you have to subtract 6 inches to get your ideal waist size! Unfortunately it wasn’t this easy with QPR as footballers are often particularly well developed in the leg area and need slightly more room in the trousers – well, they do run up and down a football pitch on a daily basis!

QPR will be wearing our Newbury suit from 1st February 2012; the first game that they will appear at in our suits will be against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Wednesday 1st February.
