Hi Sergey,

From the measurements that you have sent over, I believe your perfect size would be a size 42 short “Sackville Street fit”, the jacket will measure chest = 46”, waist =  41”, Centre back length = 30 ½”, Sleeve Length Centre back to cuff = 34 ½”.

Do let me know how you get on with this if you do order anything on our site.

Regards,
Wayne

Hi

it seems my question could not be saved.

Anyway, will try to do it again. The question is as follows:

I have recently bought two of your slim fit shirts which are perfect on me. Their sizes are 16 collar and 33 sleeve.

Now I am thinking about buying a suit at TM Lewin website therefore could you please recommend me the size and the type of the suit that will fit me best if there is one at all?

My actual chest size is 42 and I am 5,7 feet tall.

I would be very happy if you could provide me with the sizes of the jacket (length and sleeves) if the suit for me.

Many thanks in advance,

Sergey

Hi, Wayne

Thanks for advice. The length seems to be ok but I am not sure now adout the chest size. You say the actual measurements of a sakville street cut (red label I suppose) is 46". It is 4" more than my chest size (I measured with a tape).

I have also looked up on the internet for different countries' sizes comparison and have some doubts now.

My international size is M and the Russian is 48.

Thanks for your recommendations as I am sitting in front of the computer with the full basket in doubts.

Kind regards,

Sergey

Hi Sergey,

I believe that the measurements that you need are:

42 short “Sackville Street fit”, the jacket will measure:
•    Chest = 46”
•    Waist =  41”
•    Centre back length = 30 ½”
•    Sleeve Length Centre back to cuff = 34 ½”.

Just a note, your skin tight measure is 42” so would need a minimum of 4” extra in order to compensate for the layer of additional cloths i.e. under vest, shirt, waistcoat or jumper. Also you need room for movement, as a rule when you button up the jacket, you should be able to pull the button and have about 1 ½” - 2” of ease for movement, anything less would make the jacket look tight and pull across he back and ride up the body.

This should fit you perfectly, but if you do order and you’re not happy with the size we do have a 90 day no quibble guarantee so you can return your products for a full refund.

Best wishes,
Wayne

Hi Wayne,

I have received the parcel.

Thank you for your help. The suit jacket is really good on me. But there is a problem with trousers size.

I measured my waist and it was 37”. The live chat operator confirmed that my actual waist size is equal to the trousers size. So I ordered 37” and realize that it is 2 inches larger, i.e. about 39”.

So the questions are the following:

What size of the trousers do you think will be ok for me?

Why did the live chat operator provide the wrong information?

How can I exchange the good?

Thank you in advance,

Sergey

Hi Sergey,

I hope that you’re well.

I would suggest that you try a 36” pair of trousers if you find the ones that you have too big, but before you do this I would recommend that you send your postal address to social.media@tmlewin.co.uk and ask for one of our tape measures, this will be sent to you free of charge. I feel that this may help you measure your waist size more accurately. I’m very sorry that you were provided with the wrong information - it can be difficult for our operators to provide an accurate size at times.

We have a 90 day no quibble guarantee so you will be able to receive a full refund as the trousers did not fit you correctly. To arrange a return you have three options: you can email our customer services team for details on customerservice@tmlewin.co.uk, Ring the customer service team on: +44 845 3891898 to discuss it with them, or you can follow the returns instructions on our website here: http://tmlewin.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/18

I do hope this helps and please do get in touch if you need further information.

Kind regards,
Wayne
